Asia-Pacific Symposium on Visualisation

Call for Paper

Visualisation has become an increasingly active research field. APVIS2007 is the sixth annual international symposium to be held in the Asia-Pacific region with the objective to foster greater exchange between visualisation researchers and practitioners. Authors are invited to submit papers describing original and unpublished research and practical applications in all areas of visualisation. The scope of previous APVIS meetings was limited to graph drawing and information visualisation. From this year, APVIS has been expanded to include scientific visualisation. We anticipate an exciting technical program.

Suggested topics for papers include, but are not limited to:

  • Theoretic foundations of visualisation
  • Usability and human-factors
  • Visual models and representations
  • Visual knowledge discovery
  • Visual data mining
  • Visual analytics
  • Interaction techniques
  • Scientific visualisation
  • Information visualisation
  • Graph drawing algorithms
  • Visualisation of large data sets
  • Visualisation of time-varying data
  • Visualisation in bioinformatics
  • Visualisation in social network analysis
  • Software visualisation
  • Case studies
  • Real-world systems
